Mission Statement:
As a non-profit organization, the Emergency Medicine Club of St. George’s University School of Medicine was established to provide a resource for students to involve themselves in community affairs and to promote health awareness in the community. It is the club’s mission to enable its members to learn and utilize practical medical skills necessary for their future careers, and finally to create a network of support for those interested in the field of Emergency Medicine.
The Emergency Medicine Club sponsors a student-run health fair, trains local Grenadians in First Aid and CPR, and instructs its members in phlebotomy, airway management, and intravenous skills. In keeping with the mission of the club, each term funds are raised and given to a local institution for the betterment of health care in Grenada.
